AMI Direct Debit Promotion

Terms and Conditions

  1. The AMI “Pay Online Promotion” (“Promotion”) is conducted by AMI, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010 (“AMI”).

  2. Information on eligibility criteria, giveaway, winner selection and distribution and use of data form part of these terms and conditions.

  3. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  4. Prize draws will occur monthly (each, a “Prize Draw”). The promotion period for each Prize Draw (each, a “Promotion Period”) begins on the first day of a month and ends on the last day of that month (“Promotion Period”). Prize Draws will take place until further notice.

Eligibility

  1. The Promotion is open to existing AMI customers who are residents of New Zealand (“Eligible Customer”).
  1. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Customers must set up a new Direct Debit or Recurring Payment with AMI on an Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period for a Prize Draw, where:

    a. “Direct Debit” is where an Eligible Customer gives AMI authority to debit fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annual recurring instalments from that customer’s bank account;

    b. “Recurring Payment” is where an Eligible Customer gives AMI authority to debit fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annual recurring instalments from that customer’s debit or credit card;

    c. “Eligible Policy” is

    i. either an AMI home, contents, landlord, boat or motor vehicle policy with a policy start date prior to the start of the Promotion Period; and

    ii. that does not have an existing Direct Debit or Recurring Payment set up; and

    iii. must renew and remain in force at the time the prize is drawn.

  1. Eligible Policies must be current at the time of the Prize Draw. Policies will not be current where (a) they have been cancelled, (b) they have become void or (c) AMI has received notice to cancel the relevant policy.

  2. There will be one entry into the Prize Draw for every Eligible Policy that meets the Promotion’s criteria during the Promotion Period for that Prize Draw.

Prize and Prize Draw

  1. The prize consists of ten (10 ) x prizes of a five hundred (500) $500 Prezzy Card (“Prize”) per Prize Draw.

  2. Winners will be drawn at random on the second Friday of the month following the end of the Promotion Period for that Prize Draw (or such later date as is required by AMI) (“Prize Draw”).

  3. The Prize winners will be contacted by AMI within 5 days of a winner being drawn (or such later date as required by AMI). If a Prize winner has not responded to AMI within five (5) working days of being contacted or has communicated to AMI that they do not want their Prize, then AMI can at its discretion: (a) deem the Prize winner to have forfeited their right to the Prize; and (b) re-draw another eligible Prize winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.

  4. The Prize winners will be sent their Prize by overnight courier within five (5) working days after notification of their win. The Prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.

  5. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Prize must be taken as stated in these terms and conditions and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the Prize as stated or if the Prize is lost or stolen.

  6. AMI will not be required to provide any person with a Prize where, in AMI’s sole discretion:

a. that person or policy is not (or is no longer) eligible; or

b. AMI is unable to contact the person to arrange Prize collection after using reasonable endeavours.

General

  1. AMI reserves the right to discontinue, extend or amend this Promotion, including to re-schedule the Prize Draw, at any time without notice to any person, for any reason. AMI will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.

  2. AMI’s decision on any matter regarding this Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. Subject to any obligations under law, such as under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act, AMI and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion or any Prize. AMI will not be responsible for any lost or stolen Prize.

  4. AMI takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of this Promotion unless that fault is caused by AMI.

Privacy

  1. AMI may use and disclose entrants’ personal information to AMI’s agents or contractors for the purposes of conducting this Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes, including sending marketing communications to the entrant. Entrants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 by contacting AMI in writing at 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland or by calling 0800 100 200.

  2. Entrants agree that if they win the Prize then AMI is entitled to use their name, contact details and photographs for AMI external and internal marketing, promotion, communication and publicity purposes in connection with the Promotion.
