Any new Restricted or Full-Licensed driver in New Zealand is eligible to sign up for one year’s free offer of AMI Roadside Rescue, within one year of receiving their class 1 Vehicle licence. Whether you’re an AMI customer or not.

No, anyone in New Zealand who has been licensed as a Restricted or Full-Licensed driver, is eligible to sign up for one year’s free offer to AMI Roadside Rescue, within one year of receiving their class 1 Vehicle licence.
If you have a flat battery, we’ll jumpstart your car to get you moving again. If required, we’ll deliver and fit a new battery (the battery cost is your responsibility).
If you run out of fuel, we’ll deliver up to 5 litres of fuel (petrol or diesel) to you, free of charge. This benefit has a maximum use of three times per 12-month membership.
If you have an electric vehicle and run out of battery, our electric fleet can come and deliver a fast charge to get you moving again, or tow you to the nearest charging facility.
If you have a flat tyre, we’ll change it (where possible).
If you break down, we can tow you to a repairer, or to the nearest safe place. If you elect to have your vehicle towed to a place of your choice, an additional charge of $3 per kilometre will apply.
If you lock your keys in the car or find yourself locked out, we’ll help you get back into your car. Additional charges for replacement keys and locks may apply.
If you have a mechanical or electrical failure, we can provide mechanical and technical advice.

Yes, AMI Roadside Rescue can help you in any part of New Zealand within easy access of a public road accessible by a two-wheel drive vehicle. We have vehicle hubs across the country, with over 1000 vehicles to send out to you.
Yes, we offer AMI Roadside Rescue for both electric vehicles and petrol/diesel. We will tow your vehicle to the nearest charging unit, AMI approved repairer, or place of safety.
No, the AMI Roadside Rescue is only equipped to help with breakdowns. If you need assistance because you’ve been in a collision or car accident, it’s best to call your insurance provider. Your insurance cover may include towing options.
Yes. Your AMI Roadside Rescue includes cover for towed vehicles such as your caravan, boat or trailer so when you break down these will also be transported/towed to the nearest AMI approved repairer or place of safety.
Yes. Your AMI Roadside Rescue covers you, as main named driver, your car, and anyone driving your car. If anyone driving your vehicle needs roadside assistance, we have got you covered.
Yes. Your AMI Roadside Rescue covers you, as main named driver. So, if you need roadside assistance whilst driving any vehicle, we have got you covered.

There is a 24 hour stand down period from the time you purchase AMI Roadside Rescue, before you can receive assistance. If you need immediate assistance, an additional charge of $99 will apply.
