Ways to pay

Set up recurring direct debits from your bank account, credit card, or debit card. This lets you set and forget, knowing your payments are taken care of automatically.

Or, make one-off, annual payments manually with your credit or debit card.

Set up or change payments by selecting the policy and then the Payments tab in the AMI app.

Getting set up

To register and use the AMI app or My AMI online account you need an active vehicle, home, contents, or landlord policy.

Register once and use the same login details for both the AMI app or My AMI online account.

If you’ve already registered for the AMI app or My AMI and try to register again, we’ll let you know.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.

We'll send you a verification code by email or text and ask for the code when you:

  • log in
  • change your password
  • log in from a new or unrecognised device.

During registration, you can choose how you get sent verification codes. You can also set up a PIN, face ID, or fingerprint ID to skip verification codes.

You can update your login preference in the AMI app or My AMI online account.

You can update your email address or phone number anytime:

  • in the AMI app via the Contact Details page in the main menu
  • in My AMI online account via Manage personal details under the Settings menu.

Quick fix tips

Login issues

Make sure you’ve activated your account using the link we emailed you. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.

If you enter the wrong password five times, your account will be locked for 15 minutes. After that, you can try again. 

If policies are missing

Only car, home, contents, landlord, motorcycle and some boat policies are currently visible in the AMI app or My AMI online account. New policies can take a few days to show up.

If you can't find your policy, you can call us on 0800 100 200 to add them and they should appear within five days.
