AMI Contents Next Best Product $50 Prezzy® Card Promotion

Terms and conditions

  1. The AMI Contents Next Best Product $50 Prezzy® Card ("Promotion") is conducted by AMI, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited ("AMI"), NZI Centre, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010.

  2. Information on eligibility criteria, giveaway, winner selection and distribution and use of data form part of these terms and conditions.

  3. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  4. The Promotion commences on Thursday 2 November 2023 and will continue until ended by AMI at its sole discretion ("Promotion Period").

Eligibility.

  1. The Promotion is open to existing AMI customers who receive an email offering this Promotion ("Email") during the Promotion Period; and

a. are a resident of New Zealand and are aged 18 years or over as at 2 November 2023;

b. are not an employee of IAG New Zealand Limited.

  1. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Customers must purchase a new AMI Contents Plus Insurance policy ("Qualifying Policy") within 2 weeks of receiving an email; and have a current Qualifying Policy at the time the Gift Card is sent. Policies will not be current where they: (a) have been cancelled; (b) become void; or (c) where AMI has received notice to cancel the relevant policy. ("Eligible Customer").

  1. For the avoidance of doubt:

a. the following policy types do not qualify as a Qualifying Policy: Comprehensive Car, Third Party, Fire and Theft Car, Third Party Only Car, Commercial Vehicle, Home Plus, Landlord's Home, Landlord's Contents, House Construction, Travel, Business, Motorcycle, Boat, Caravan & Trailer and Lifestyle Block;

b. Renewals, replacements, mid-term adjustments, re-keys, downgrades or reinstatements of existing AMI policies (as determined at AMI’s sole discretion) do not qualify for this Promotion; and

c. if a participant takes out multiple Qualifying Policies, each Qualifying Policy will be eligible for the Reward.

Reward.

  1. AMI is offering each Eligible Customer One (1) $50 Prezzy Card (“Reward”) for each Qualifying Policy purchased during the Promotion Period.
  1. The Reward will be couriered to the Eligible Customer's postal address within three (3) weeks of taking out a Qualifying Policy (or such later date as is required by AMI). For the avoidance of doubt, AMI will not be obliged to award any Reward to any person where the conditions set out in these terms and conditions have not been met.

  3. AMI will not be liable to any person for any damage caused to the Reward, or if the Reward is lost or goes missing, after the Reward has been dispatched for delivery and is the sole responsibility of the Eligible Customer.

  4. The Reward is not transferable, not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Reward must be taken as stated in these terms and conditions and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the Reward.

  5. AMI will not be required to provide any person with a Reward where, in AMI’s sole discretion, that person is not (or is no longer) eligible.

General.

  1. AMI, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to discontinue, extend or amend the Promotion at any time. AMI will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.

  2. AMI's decision on any matter regarding the Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. Subject to any obligations under law, such as under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, AMI and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion. AMI will not be responsible for any lost or stolen Reward.

  4. AMI takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of the Promotion, unless that fault is caused by AMI.

Privacy.

  1. Each entrant accepts and agrees that AMI may use and disclose the entrant’s personal information to AMI's agents or contractors for the purposes of conducting the Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes. Entrants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 by contacting AMI in writing at 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland or by calling 0800 100 200.

  2. Entrants agree that AMI is entitled to use their name, contact details and photographs for AMI external and internal marketing, promotion, communication and publicity purposes in connection with the Promotion.
