AMI Comprehensive Car Prezzy Card Promotion

Terms and conditions

  1. The AMI Comprehensive Car Prezzy Card Promotion (“Promotion”) is conducted by AMI, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited (“AMI”), NZI Centre, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010.

  2. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  3. The Promotion commences on 9 April 2025 and ends at 11.59pm on 30 April 2025 (“Promotion Period”).

Eligibility

  1. The Promotion is open to customers who purchase a new AMI Comprehensive Car insurance policy online during the Promotion Period and:

    a) are a resident of New Zealand and are aged 18 years or over as at 9 April 2025; and

    b) are not an employee of IAG New Zealand Limited or an immediate family member of an employee.


  2. To enter the Promotion, subject to clause 6, customers who meet the criteria in paragraph 4 must purchase a new AMI Comprehensive Car insurance policy online (“Qualifying Policy”) during the Promotion Period and;

    a) have met all payment requirements under each Qualifying Policy (including making at least one payment on each Qualifying Policy by the due date);

    b) have made, and AMI has received, the first payment on each Qualifying Policy by the due date; and

    c) have not cancelled their Qualifying Policy or had their Qualifying Policy become void before the end of the Promotion Period, (“Eligible Customer”).


  3. Renewing or cancelling and then repurchasing an existing policy, mid-term adjustments, re-keys, downgrades or the reinstatement of an existing AMI policy (as determined by AMI in its sole discretion) does not qualify as purchasing a Qualifying Policy under clause 5.

Reward

  1. Subject to clauses 8 and 9, each Eligible Customer who purchases a Qualifying Policy in accordance with clause 5 will receive a $100 Prezzy® Card (“Reward”).

  2. Eligible Customers who purchase multiple Qualifying Policies will receive one Reward for each Qualifying Policy purchased by them.

  3. AMI will not be required to provide any person with a Reward where, in AMI’s sole discretion:

    a) that person is not (or is no longer) eligible; or

    b) AMI is unable to contact the person to arrange delivery after using reasonable endeavours.


  4. The Reward will be sent electronically to the Eligible Customer’s email address as supplied to AMI during the policy purchase, within seven (7) weeks of payment (or such later date as is required by AMI). For the avoidance of doubt, AMI will not be obliged to award any Reward to any person where the conditions set out in these terms and conditions have not been met.

  6. The Reward is not transferable, not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Reward must be taken as stated in these terms and conditions and no compensation will be payable if the customer is unable to use the Reward.

  7. AMI will not be required to provide any person with a Reward where, in AMI’s sole discretion, that person is not (or is no longer) eligible.

General

  1. AMI, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to discontinue, extend or amend the Promotion, at any time. AMI will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.

  2. AMI’s decision on any matter regarding the Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. AMI’s underwriting criteria, policy terms and conditions apply.

  4. Subject to any obligations under law, such as under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, AMI and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion or any Reward. AMI will not be responsible for any lost or stolen Reward.

  5. AMI takes no responsibility for any incomplete, incorrectly complete, or late purchases, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of the Promotion, unless that fault is caused by AMI.

Privacy

  1. Information collected will be securely held by AMI, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. Each participant accepts and agrees that AMI may use and disclose the participant’s personal information to AMI’s agents or contractors for the purposes of conducting the Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes. Participants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 by contacting AMI in writing at 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland or by calling 0800 100 200.
