Renters Insurance covers your personal belongings such as your phone, laptop, furniture, clothes, cosmetics and sports equipment.
With Renters Insurance you get an AMI Advanced Contents policy which provides our highest level of cover, at a set sum-insured of $10,000. This means you are covered for up to $10,000.
Renters Insurance also provides cover for any damage you may cause to someone else’s property. For example, if you accidentally drop a vase in an antique shop) we will pay any costs you are legally required to pay, up to a value of $1 million. (This is sometimes called Legal Liability or Third Party Cover).
If the house you live in is damaged or destroyed, we will pay reasonable temporary accommodation costs for you, your family and your pets while your house is uninhabitable for up to 12 months (or up to 25% of your sum insured).
Optional cover, like Matching Carpet Cover, or Bike Cover, can also be added to your policy for an additional cost.
