Does car insurance cover intentional or reckless acts

Car insurance doesn't cover any intentional or reckless acts if they are caused by you or anyone else covered by your policy. For example, causing damage by intentionally driving into a wall or breaking a side passenger window to gain access to the vehicle.

If you have Comprehensive or Third Party, Fire and Theft cover, you're covered if the damage occurred when the vehicle was unlawfully converted, stolen or while theft of the vehicle was attempted.

Refer to your policy wording for more details about the intentional and reckless acts exclusion.
