New Business Eco-Smart Plant Giveaway and Icehouse Voucher Competition

Terms and conditions

  1. The Icehouse Voucher Competition (“Icehouse Promotion”) and the New Business Eco-Smart Plant Giveaway (“Eco-Smart Plant Giveaway”) are conducted by AMI, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited (“AMI”), NZI Centre, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. The following terms and conditions apply to this promotion.
  2. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. The Promotion commences on 7 February 2020 and ends at 5pm on 28 February 2020 (“Promotion Period”).
  4. The promotions are open to residents of New Zealand who are 18 years of age or over as at 7 February 2020. Employees and contractors of IAG New Zealand Limited and their immediate families are ineligible to participate in the promotions.

Icehouse Promotion

  1. To enter the Icehouse Promotion, entrants must receive the targeted mail and purchase an AMI Business policy during the Promotion Period. There is only one entry allowed per entrant.
  2. Entries that are incomplete or are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions will be ineligible.
  3. The Prize is a $2,000 (plus GST) credit with The Icehouse. The winner will be able to choose one of the following two options:
    1. Option 1. Choose a specially tailored workshop valued at $1,745 and get a one-on-one catch up valued at $330 with one of The Icehouse team (prize plus GST).
    2. Option 2. Choose to put the $2,000 credit (Plus GST) towards specific business mentoring with a business leader from The Icehouse.
  4. One prize winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries on Monday 30 March 2020 (or such later date as is required by AMI) (“Prize Draw”).
  5. The prize winner will be contacted by AMI by 1 April 2020 (or such later date as required by AMI). If a winner has not responded to AMI within 2 working days of being contacted then AMI can at its discretion: (a) deem the prize winner to have forfeited their right to the Prize; and (b) re-draw another eligible prize winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  6. The Prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  7. AMI will not be required to provide any person with a Prize where, in AMI’s sole discretion:
    1. that person is not (or is no longer) eligible; or
    2. AMI is unable to contact the person to arrange Prize collection after using reasonable endeavours.

Eco-Smart Plant Giveaway

  1. AMI is offering Eligible Customers an eco-smart plant (“Reward”) when they take out a new AMI Business policy purchased in their own/or business name during the Promotion Period (“Qualifying Policy”). The renewal or cancelling and then repurchasing of an existing policy (as determined by AMI in its sole discretion) does not qualify as purchasing a Qualifying Policy.
  2. Each eligible participant who has:
    1. that person is not (or is no longer) eligible; or
    2. AMI is unable to contact the person to arrange Prize collection after using reasonable endeavours.
    will qualify for the New Business Eco-Smart Plant Giveaway Promotion.
  3. The maximum number of Rewards an eligible participant can receive is 1 Reward, with a total value of $38.
  4. The Reward will be couriered to the recipient’s designated postal address within 7 days from 31 March 2020. For the avoidance of doubt, AMI will not be obliged to send any Reward to any person where the conditions set out in these terms and conditions have not been met.


  1. AMI reserves the right to discontinue, extend or amend these promotions at any time without notice to any person for any reason. AMI will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.
  2. AMI’s decision on any matter regarding these promotions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. AMI’s underwriting criteria, policy terms and conditions apply.
  4. Subject to any obligations under law, such as under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act, AMI and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the promotions or any Prize or Reward. AMI will not be responsible for any lost or stolen Prize or Reward, including if any Prize or Reward goes missing after the Prize or Reward is dispatched for delivery to the recipient.
  5. AMI takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of these promotions.


  1. AMI may use and disclose participants’ personal information to AMI’s agents or contractors for the purposes of conducting these promotions. Participants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 by contacting AMI in writing at 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland or by calling 0800 782 838.
  2. Participants agree that AMI is entitled to use their name, contact details and photographs for AMI’s external and internal marketing, promotion, communication and publicity purposes in connection with the promotions.
