AMI Refer a Friend promotion
Terms and Conditions
- This Refer a Friend promotion (“Promotion”) is conducted by AMI Insurance (“AMI”), a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited (“IAG”), 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand. The following terms and conditions apply to the customer prize giveaway (“$50 Prezzy Card Promotion”) held in-store at the following participating stores: AMI Auckland Central, AMI Albany, AMI Botany, AMI Newmarket, AMI New Lynn, AMI Pakuranga, AMI Takapuna, AMI NorthWest, AMI Manukau, AMI Takanini, AMI Pukekohe, AMI Silverdale and AMI Whangarei (“Participating Stores”).
- Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The Promotion commences 9am Monday 13 March 2017 and ends 5pm on Friday 30 June 2017, or while stocks of Prezzy Cards last, whichever is sooner (“Promotion Period”).
- Employees of IAG and their immediate families are ineligible to participate.
$50 Prezzy Card Promotion
- The Prezzy Card Promotion is offered to the first twenty-five (25) AMI customers who mention they have been ‘referred by a friend’ (“Qualifying Friend Customer”), and purchase two or more new AMI car, house or contents insurance policies (“Qualifying Policy”) in person at a Participating Store in their own name during the Promotion Period.
- In addition, the Prezzy Card Promotion is offered to the first twenty-five (25) AMI customers who refer a Qualifying Friend Customer (“Qualifying Customer”) at a Participating Store.
- In each Participating Store, there are (25) $50 Prezzy Cards (“Prezzy Card”) to be won by a Qualifying Friend Customer and (25) $50 Prezzy Cards (“Prezzy Card”) to be won by a Qualifying Customer.
- Each Qualifying Friend Customer who is up to date with all payment requirements under a Qualifying Policy (including making at least one payment on the Qualifying Policies before 5pm Friday 14 July 2017) will qualify to receive a Prezzy Card (“Prezzy Card Winners”).
- Each Qualifying Customer who refers a Qualifying Friend customer will qualify to receive a Prezzy Card (“Prezzy Card Winners”), when condition 8. is fulfilled.
- A Qualifying Customer may refer more than one Qualifying Friend Customer, however they will only receive one (1) Prezzy Card per Qualifying Friend Customer.
- There is a limit of one (1) Prezzy Card per Qualifying Friend Customer.
- The Prezzy Card Winners will be notified by AMI by email or phone no later than 5pm Friday 21 July 2017. The Prezzy Card Winners will be asked to come into the Participating Store to collect their Prezzy Card(s).
- If a Prezzy Card Winner cannot be contacted after reasonable efforts have been made by AMI (within 30 days of determination of the Prezzy Card Winners), AMI may reallocate a Prezzy Card to the next Qualifying Customer with a valid Qualifying Policy.
- If a Prezzy Card Winner fails to collect their Prezzy Card from the New Store within 60 days of being notified, AMI reserves the right to reallocate a Prezzy Card to the next Qualifying Customer with a valid Qualifying Policy.

- These general terms apply to the $50 Prezzy Card Promotion.
- The Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. AMI’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond AMI’s control, AMI may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
- Each Prezzy Card Winner agrees that AMI is entitled to use their name, contact details and photographs for AMI external and internal marketing, promotion, communication and publicity in connection with the Promotion.
- AMI, at its sole discretion, may extend this Promotion for a longer period than the Promotion Period. AMI also reserves the right to terminate, withdraw or amend any aspect of this Promotion at any time without notice to any person, for any reason.
- AMI’s decision on any matter regarding this Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

- Information collected from all entries will be securely held by AMI. AMI may contact any or all entrants using the contact details provided in their entries for the purpose of the Promotion generally and for marketing and promotional purposes. AMI may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents in the course of conducting this Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes. All entrants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 by contacting AMI at 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland. All entries become the property of AMI and will be destroyed by AMI following the conclusion of this Promotion.
- AMI takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of this Promotion.
- AMI and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion or any Prize.
