AMI has been part of the community, helping look after New Zealanders for over 90 years. We believe more connected communities are safer and stronger, and aim to create partnerships and support initiatives that help bring people together. This is just one of the reasons why we’re proud to be a part of the largest celebration of Pacific Island culture and heritage in the world.
Part of the Auckland summer events calendar Pasifika is a free, family-friendly festival which showcases the colourful sights, sounds and tastes of the Pacific in 11 villages representing different Pacific Island nations, including Aotearoa. The festival is held over two days at Western Springs Park, giving Aucklander’s and visitors the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Pacific cultures in one place.
This year Pasifika is celebrating its 25th birthday and we have some fun stuff planned at the festival.
Be in to win a $5,000 Noel Leeming voucher promotion – take part in our First Place virtual reality challenge or complete our insurance quiz to go in the draw to win a $5,000 Noel Leeming voucher. Visit us at either our AMI Lost and Found tent, or one of our AMI hubs to find out more.
AMI Lost and Found – While it’s important to keep an eye on your stuff at all times, we know things can sometimes get left behind. So to help reunite you with your precious stuff, we’ll have two AMI Lost and Found tents at opposite ends of the park (next to Lost Kids), as a collection point for any lost, or found items. If you happen to misplace your stuff at the festival, check in with our friendly staff at the AMI Lost and Found tent in case someone has handed it in. Any unclaimed items after the event will be handed in to the Central Auckland Police station.
Super Surfer wave rider – Can you last the distance? Put your surfing skills to the test on our Super Surfer and see how long you can last. The top two people with the best times each day will win a prezzy card.
When: Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 March 2017, Western Springs Park Auckland.
