Our motorcycle policy can cover power cycles, motor scooters and mopeds as well as motor cycles. You can choose the level of protection that suits your lifestyle and budget.

We offer motorcycle owners the choice of two levels of cover:

1. Full cover

Provides all of the cover and benefits outlined below

2. Third Party cover

Provides cover only for damage you cause to other people's property through the use of your motor cycle.

Cover for your motorcycle

If your motorcycle is involved in a collision, vandalised or accidentally damaged we'll pay to repair it. If your motorcycle is stolen or written off, we'll pay you the market value of the motorcycle.

Motorcycle salvage costs

If your motorcycle is damaged and can't be ridden, we'll pay to move it to the nearest repairer. If your motorcycle is stolen and then found, we'll pay to return it to you.

Transport to get you home

If your motorcycle is stolen or damaged while you're away from your home town, we'll reimburse you for the cost of getting your motorcycle, yourself and an immediate family member back home.

Cover if you damage other people's property

We'll cover you for up to $20 million if you are legally liable to pay for any accidental loss of or damage to someone else's property caused through the use of your motorcycle. This also includes:

• cover if you use someone else's motorcycle
• cover if other people use your motorcycle

Legal defence costs

If you or any member of your immediate family is charged with manslaughter or careless driving causing death, we'll pay up to $1,000 towards your legal defence costs.

Buying a new motorcycle?

Get temporary cover for up to 7 days!

If your motorcycle is insured with AMI and you buy a new motorcycle to replace it, we'll provide automatic cover for your replacement motorcycle for up to 7 days.
