On December 16, 2011 the conditional sale of AMI was announced. AMI Insurance will be reformed into a new and stronger company under the ownership of IAG, while the New Zealand Government takes responsibility for resolution of all outstanding AMI Canterbury earthquake claims.
The announcement does not require customers to take any action at all and you will not notice any difference – the AMI Insurance brand is being retained, all our contact details are unchanged – it really is business as usual.
